RGEM's Understanding & Approach to Christian Education

God's foundational principle for maintaining unbroken fellowship with humanity and for sustaining practical human relationships with one another is education--faithful and solid biblical education.  At mount Sinai, God gave His Word or Torah to His chosen people, and He called upon them to put His Word into practice daily--so that they may live by the Word and not die.  At the core of this ordinance, was the primary responsibility of the current generation to pass  God's teachings or instructions to the next generation--so that the people may experience God's blessings perpetually. In God's theocratic kingdom structure then in Israel,  Torah education was absolutely necessary--it meant life.

The Church leadership today has a similar obligation to faithfully educate the Body of Jesus Christ in sound doctrines--the 66 cannonical books of Scripture, but principally, the teachings of Christ as the rock solid foundation of the Christian faith.  Without equitable and continuing education of believers--the people will be destroyed by heresy and the false teachers that prey on them easily.  Christian believers, in their earthly pilgrimage today, are planning for their eternal state in the presence of our righteous, just, and holy God. Any misleading information or wrong turn (spiritually), can be very costly to that effect.

Therefore, the Church is to be intentional in educating believers about their calling in Jesus Christ and their rightful place in the kingdom of God.  Please continue to read and take on the challenge to be rightfully and faithfully prepared and equipped to share the word of God with others in the world and in the Body of Christ.
